Abstract
The pasyon, or the chanting of the passion and death of Jesus Christ, continues to be one of the most popular narratives in the Philippine archipelago today. This study investigates the figurative language used by two versions of the pasyon to study the historic Tagalog imagination regarding panahon or catastrophic weather.
