Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: To assess the safety and efficacy of vitamin A supplementation given in addition to the vitamin A intake through unfortified/fortified breast milk or term/preterm infant formulas versus supplementation with placebo or no supplementation within first 28 days of life for preventing morbidity and mortality in moderate and late preterm infants (MLPT).
