Abstract

Virtual Worlds and Intelligent Tutoring Systems have contributed to education systems and we explore how these systems work together and open new horizons for students. This article tracks the development of Virtual Worlds as they emerged from the early developments in virtual reality. We endeavor to utilize these technologies in proposing enhancements to existing virtual environments specially by integrating with Intelligent Tutoring Systems and Automated Assessment Systems. We studied the deficit in the previous research literature and propose an Intelligent Virtual Learning Environment as a medium for education and training. Intelligent Virtual Learning Environment empowered by Automated Assessment and Formative Feedback working as a whole to assess learners based on their actions.
