Abstract

The Tides of Longing is a journey through themes of hope, loss, and resilience in the face of adversity. It recounts the story of a refugee boy named Mir, who flees his war-torn homeland via a network of people-smugglers to seek a new life in Australia. The musical narrative sculpted by Skipworth highlights the emotional and psychological impact of this displacement through the experiences of those who have been forced to flee.
