Abstract

The Strelley Mob was an exhibition at the John Curtin Gallery, Perth, that ran from 9 May to 8 July, 2024. It included paintings, drawings and animations about the history of the Aboriginal strikers who walked off pastoral stations in the Pilbara in 1946, and went on to make a living mining, pearl shell and buffell grass farming across the region, before setting on Strelley Station in the 1970s.
