Abstract

This project visually examines the layers through the eras of forms of wall painting or fresco, graffiti and street art through practical application of the various techniques layered together. These symbolic layers represent, conceptually, the interplay between the painted figure and word in different forms at different periods in human history. The visual works create an interaction of site surface, mark making and human communication. there in, can all wall art be considered fresco or is all wall art technically street art?
