Abstract

Extraction of the aerial part of Uncaria cf. glabrata D.C. (Rubiaceae) has yielded (2R,3S)-(+)-catechin (1), 14 alpha-hydroxyrauniticine (2) and rauniticine (3) which were identified by their spectroscopic properties. A single-crystal X-ray structure determination is reported for rauniticine (3).
