Abstract

Irradiation of cyclopentadienyltungsten carbonyl complexes bearing a pendant alkyne group promoted intramolecular displacement of CO by the alkyne. The resulting complexes, which contain an intramolecularly coordinated alkyne group, were characterized by H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy.
