Abstract

In recent years, the application of nanomaterials in scientific and industrial fields has attracted increased attention, with a particular focus on the synthesis, properties, and formation mechanisms of nanomaterials. The lamp ablation method has shown advantages over other techniques, including that it is a rapid, one-step, simple approach, and is nontoxic and catalyst-free. In my Ph.D. candidature, the synthesis of nanostructures of hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN)and few-layer graphene were explored with the lamp ablation method. The research investigated the utilisation of xenon-arc discharge lamp for the ablation of h-BN and graphite flake precursor powders.
