Abstract

We will report on the development of optical lattice clocks at LNE-SYRTE. Two strontium and a mercury optical lattice clocks were developed over more than a decade. We will give and overview of this work, emphasizing several unique features of the clocks. We will also describe application of these clocks to fundamental physics tests and as well as work relevant to a possible redefinition of the SI second based on an optical transition.
