Self-generation of bright spin-wave envelope solitons in active ferromagnetic-film rings

    Abstract

    A theory for the self-generation of a train of spin-wave envelope solitons in active rings based on spin-wave delay lines with filtering transducers is developed. Equations describing this process are derived and their stationary solutions are analyzed. Two characteristic generation modes are considered. In the first, a train of solitons is formed in the presence of a continuous-wave (cw) generation pedestal but in the absence of pronounced phase jumps between the neighboring pulses. The second mode is characterized by the absence of this pedestal and the presence of abrupt phase jumps between the pulses.
