Abstract

This Chapter discusses the petrological and geochemical characteristics of potassic igneous rocks in selected type-localities from the five different tectonic settings: (1) Roman Province (Italy)—continental arc; (2) Eastern Alps (Austria)—post-collisional arc; (3) Mariana Arc (West Pacific)—initial oceanic arc; (4) Vanuatu-New Hebrides (Southwest Pacific)—late oceanic arc; (5) African Rift Valley (Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo)—within-plate setting.
