Abstract
Summarizes current knowledge on planting trees and shrubs as a means of reversing trends towards land degradation. After an introduction on matching plants to soils, there are chapters on plants for revegetation, using species local to Western Australia and grouping them according to vegetation/soil type; identifying plants, with descriptions and colour illustrations; seeds and sowing; design and location of revegetation; and birds associated with the vegetation categories. The indexes are of botanical and common names. -J.W.Cooper
