Abstract

The spectroscopic parameters used to assign the structure to isoaurostatin ( 40,6-dihydroxyisoaurone), a metabolite isolated from Thermomonospora alba, have been reinterpreted. It is suggested that isoaurostatin is identical to the isoflavone daidzein.
