Abstract

The rapid expansion of bioeconomy solutions prioritizing growth and technological solutions risks exacerbating the legacies of colonialism and exploitation in the Brazilian Amazon. There is an urgency to address environmental justice issues within emerging development strategies to embrace community economies toward post-growth forest futures.
