Abstract

Laboratory studies are described which show that partially degraded diethanolamine solutions can be purified by reversing the degradation reactions using certain reagents and operating conditions. Information on reaction mechanisms is given. The application of the fundamental studies to industrial situations is discussed and a basic flowsheet of a purification process is given.
