The history and evolution of the Wandjina and Agula as well as the continuation of this art in paintings by Kimberly artists is discussed. Erich von Daniken's ancient astronaut trilogy that included the images of Wandjina and Agula spirits was also a big hit, despite claims that von Daniken wrongly interpreted the readings
