Abstract
Kidney disease is an important cause of morbidity and mortality in the remote Kimberley region of Western Australia with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people according for over ninety eight percent of end stage kidney disease. This thesis provides insight into palliative care knowledge and support including end-of -life wishes from the perspective of Kimberley Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with end stage kidney disease. It is hoped that the findings of this study will inform future service delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with end stage kidney disease in the Kimberley and beyond.
