Abstract
Breast cancer classification using pulses measured by a portable terahertz probe is currently challenged by complex biological structure of breast tissue. Parameters of our previously-published non-Debye model can provide useful information about the tissue composition, which, in turn, helps us to improve the classification accuracy. Thus, in this paper, an extraction method for data collected using an intraoperative probe is described to obtain optical properties, which can then be used to obtain the parameters of the model.
