Abstract
Coronavirus has impacted various aspects of education around the world, including the teaching and learning process. This unprecedented issue necessitates educators from primary to university levels to adapt their teaching strategies to the online learning setting. In teacher education, microteaching or peer-teaching should also be adapted to the current situation. Therefore, this paper explores the author's experience in implementing online microteaching for teacher candidates during the 2020-1 semester (September 2020 to January 2021) to adjust the teaching strategies in the higher education setting amid the global pandemic. Online microteaching is also expected to enrich didactic skills among the teacher candidates as they are involved in self-reflection, peer, and teacher evaluation activities through multimodal feedback strategies. Some pedagogical implications for future online microteaching practice and research are also provided.
