Abstract
One Drop was a proof of concept was to design and experiment with the idea of a new interactive music release format. The idea for an interactive music release format proposes that instead of releasing a song on a CD or as an MP3, the artist arranges a song for a multi–track application (like a mobile app). This app then allows the audience to create their own versions of the song. This will allow the audience to co-create with musicians and participate instead of passively consuming music.
The work consists of 18 Stems of audio composed for the purpose of remixing each time the work is played. The song can be mixed in a variety of ways to produce new genres and sounds.
The work was produced as part of a creative practice Master of Arts at QUT
