Abstract

This research focuses on trends in Australia’s government over the past thirty years, particularly regarding the relationship between the Executive and Legislative branches at the federal level. The study will investigate key constitutional developments and interpretations that have influenced the contemporary characteristics of Australian government. By examining these elements, the article seeks to provide insight into the dynamics of Australia's political structure and governance. Overall, it aims to underscore the significance of the three identified trends in shaping the current form of government in Australia.
