On an adaptive antenna array under directional constraint

Abstract

It is shown that for narrowband applications, the number of linear constraints needed for an adaptive array to achieve a fixed look direction response can be reduced from two to one. The result is useful since it can be exploited to reduce the computational complexity required to determine the optimal weight vector.
