Abstract

The Next Generation Archive System (NGAS) is designed for archiving massive amounts of data in an efficient and low-cost manner. The Next Generation Archive Management System (NG/AMS) is the software that runs on the NGAS Systems to provide the necessary services for handling the archiving, processing and retrieval of data files.
