Mast cells in sunlight-induced immunosuppression

Abstract

Dermal mast cells are critical to one pathway of ultraviolet B light- induced immunosuppression in mice. Furthermore, high dermal mast cell prevalence provides a susceptibility factor for development of basal cell carcinomas in humans.
