title = "„Man bittet, ein Auge zuzudr{\"u}cken“ – Von Freuds Verf{\"u}hrungstheorie zur Theorie des {\"O}dipuskomplexes und zur{\"u}ck",
abstract = "The authors examine the reasons why Freud may have been inclined to abandon his seduction theory and to anchor the Oedipus complex in mankind{\textquoteright}s phylogenetic development. They conclude that factual arguments do not justify Freud{\textquoteright}s attributing the oedipal conflict to phylogenetic factors and that this solution appears to be a substitutive idea for the ontogenetic origin of the Oedipus complex, wrapped up – for whatever reasons he may have had – and disguised in a phylogenetic package. In reality however, the child{\textquoteright}s oedipal conflict is the outcome of the unresolved oedipal complexes of the parental figures. ",
