Abstract
In multicultural societies like Singapore, the audiences are bilingual, trilingual or even multilingual. If audiences can understand more than one language and culture, what affects their choices when attending poetry events? Focusing on poetry events and performances, this Short discusses how the multilingual audiences choose poetry events through a case study approach to Poetry Festival Singapore from 2015 to 2019. Through analysis of the audience profile at poetry events, this Short will discuss the characteristics of the multilingual audience.
