Abstract
Femoral impaction grafting is a useful technique in revision hip arthroplasty to restore bone in femurs with contained bone loss. It has utility in younger patients, and basic science research has shown good evidence of graft incorporation. This chapter provides details about the pre-operative work-up, surgical technique and the current evidence regarding outcomes of both cemented and cementless revision stems.
