This article discusses how recentdata have altered the way we understandhow dying tumour cells, particularly thosekilled by chemotherapy, engage withantitumour immune responses. These datahave significant implications for thedevelopment of new protocols combiningchemotherapy with immunotherapy,indicating an exciting potential fortherapeutic synergy with generalapplicability to many cancer types.
