Abstract
A method is described for enantiomorphic space-group determination which depends upon a simple analysis of a single convergent-beam diffraction pattern. The method, which in principle may be applied to any enantiomorph, is here used to identify the space group of dextrorotatory [alpha]-quartz. In this, a four-beam pattern is analysed by visual matching to an analogue computer display.
