Abstract

Hypophosphatasia has a wide clinical spectrum ranging from premature loss of primary teeth to neonat l death. The premature loss of primary teeth in a child with an otherwise unremarkable history may be the first sign of a more significant underlying disease. This report illustrates the role of the dental practitioner in facilitating the diagnosis of hypophosphatasia.
