Abstract

Essay on the 1995 painting Flight of a magpie by Western Australian artist Howard Taylor. The composition was first painted by the artist in 1956 (destroyed 1995) when he decided to address the subject again and bring forty-years of artistic expertise and excellence to an enduring interest - flight.
