Abstract
SATURDAY 18TH APRIL / PRESENTED BY DANAE GIBSON
The speculative and science fiction genre has long been employed by artists and writers wanting to engage with the issues of our present time to imagine a better and brighter future. So what might the genre offer us in our present - and somewhat dystopic - circumstances? Laura Collier is a PhD candidate at UWA whose work explores the possibilities of speculative and science fiction as a tool for hope.
