Goethe Society WA 1949-2024 Festschrift

To mark the 75th anniversary of the Goethe Society WA Inc., Professor Alexandra Ludewig has been entrusted with the conception and production of a commemorative publication, a so-called Festschrift, which she realised with the help of a collective of her Translation Studies students and international colleagues.

The Goethe Society is a not-for-profit community organisation that promotes German language and culture in Western Australia; the Society was officially recognised as a partnerschool of the German Government during a state visit by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, His Excellency Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

This commemorative publication presents a colourful array of socio-historical and cultural submissions from contributors such as Profs Stefan Matuscheck (Jena), John Kinder (Perth), Stefan Keppler-Tasaki (Tokyo) as well as key organisations OMI, MLTAWA, TAGWA and the Goethe Institute.
