Further studies of the injection moulding process

This paper is concerned with the injection moulding process, in which hot, molten plastic is injected into a thin cold mould. A simple viscous flow model which describes the behaviour during the filling stage is presented. Of particular interest is the formation of a layer of solid plastic along the walls of the mould.
