Abstract

The article discusses the reasons why Australian aborigines dislike participating in Western institutions. There is an absence of pattern or regularity with regard to the social activities or life of the aborigines of Australia. The performance of an activity, such as hunting or fishing, depends on whether they "like" or "do not like" doing it. Therefore, they find it hard adjusting to the regularity which characterizes social behavior and activities of the Western world.
