Abstract

This keynote focuses on the film review, which is often maligned in formal film criticism. Revisiting the review as a form of cultural mediation I look at the shifting technological and cultural fields that reviewing takes place. It has been ten years since the final episode of At the Movies was broadcast on the ABC. Using the programme as a case study, I seek to provoke discussion of reviewing and its place in dynamic screen culture.
