Abstract

In this thesis, I discuss the evolutionary processes of ultra-faint dwarf galaxies (UFDs). First, I perform a kinematic study of the Local Group UFD and globular cluster population and examine the effects of a time-varying Galactic potential. Second, I simulate the effects of a neutron star merger on a UFD and attempt to reproduce the r-process enhancement seen in Reticulum II. Finally, I estimate the inner density profile of a simulated UFD and explore how different models affect the dark matter distribution.
