Abstract

This study tested effects of nutrition on FSH in ewes after ovariectomy and steroid replacement. The concentration of FSH in plasma declined more slowly (P< 0.05) in ewes supplemented with lupin grain than in ewes fed a sub-maintenance ration, but neither group differed significantly from ewes fed at maintenance. Little difference between the groups was detected in plasma concentrations of oestradiol.
