Embedding formalism for (p, q) AdS superspaces in three dimensions

Abstract

Field theories possessing anti-de Sitter supersymmetry are naturally realised in anti-de Sitter
superspaces. Uniquely, in three dimensions these anti-de Sitter superspaces exist in a variety of
incarnations, labelled by two integers (p,q) and denoted AdS(3|p,q). To this end, a coset construction
of AdS(3|p,q) is performed by utilising the supertwistor realisation of the superspace, and it is
consequently demonstrated that the supertwistor and supergravity realisations of AdS(3|p,q) are
equivalent. We develop a local coordinate system for the superspace and explore the supergeometry
in this coordinate system. Lastly, we present a bi-supertwistor realisation of AdS(3|p,q) which
provides a superembedding of the superspace
