Abstract

Doppler shift and Doppler spread due to a flying object are derived directly from Fresnel-Kirchhoff diffraction formula for microwave signals from Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites in a passive forward scattering bi-static radar setup, which could be utilized to detect the size and the velocity of the flying object.
