Abstract

The diagnosis and identification of DVT is intrinsic to general practice but cannot be reliable diagnosed or excluded on clinical examination alone. The Wells Score System is applicable to the assessment of DVT risks in hospital patients but guidelines for DVT and pulmonary thromboembolus should be developed by the RACGP for the use of D-Dimer and medical imaging investigation
