Abstract

Calcified amorphous tumour (CAT) of the heart is a rare non-neoplastic cardiac mass, composed of calcified nodules within amorphous fibrinous material.1 Patients with CAT commonly present with symptoms related to obstruction or embolization, such as dyspnea, syncope, or stroke.2 Few cases have been reported, so natural history, pathogenesis, and imaging characterization are not well defined. Herein, we report 3 cases of CAT and describe its characteristics on multimodality imaging.
