Abstract

Teaching in social work is a great opportunity to share with students the dedication to the profession and experiences in clinical practice. The role of the educator is to facilitate the learning of students, to allow them to develop their professional identity focusing on strength and the self. There are essential perceptions which need to be taken into consideration when teaching. Some of these are the culture, the environment, and the personal and professional experience of the academic. In this paper, I present my reflections on my teaching experience in social work.
