Abstract

The essays in this two-volume set were written in honour of Australian ethnographer, linguist and 'contrarian' Peter Sutton. Over the past 50 years, Sutton has motivated anthropologists and linguists to engage in difficult and sensitive conversations about matters easily misunderstood and politicized by law, policy makers, and the non-Indigenous public.
