Abstract

This thesis critically analyses the concept of integration and internationalization based on the perceptions and lived experiences of 24 Chinese international students in an Australian university. within the extant scholarship international students who faced challenges integrating into a host university were typically positioned as 'in deficit'. very few studies reported on the experiences of international students by drawing on the voices of international students themselves. this study therefore sought to examine the perceptions of international students towards integration and internationalization practices at an Australian university.
