Abstract
Printmaking remains an under-studied area from the viewpoint of its unique role in the history of post-modern art. This thesis is a contribution to filling that gap by assessing the print experiments of Barbara Haddy to test the impact of print making’s distinctive qualities on her search for meaning in practice. It focuses on how the artist framed her perspective in various works. Her established painting practice was influential, as she turned to printmaking for conceptual translation.
