Abstract

Land use change is one of the critical factors for regional eco-environment changing. Langwogou watershed (a typical watershed in hilly loess region) was selected as the research area. Aiming at the present condition of land productivity being low, which is brought by unreasonable land use type, with the support of geographic information system, the land productivity model based on soil erosion was used to guide land use programming in hilly loess region. The result shows that, after the land use being programmed again, the level of land productivity in the watershed increases obviously, and the average achieves 625.44 kg/hm2 for the whole watershed, which indicates that the land productivity model can be used to direct land use programming of hilly loess region effectively.
