Abstract

'Apologies in the legal arena: a comparative perspective' is the result of ongoing studies by international interdisciplinary scholars in civil and common law systems, working for many years in synergy. One of the most noteworthy achievements of Apologies Legal Research is that disciplinary sectors (criminal law, private law, procedural law) are often differently shaped depending on the single legal system, but the differences can be negotiated by looking for a specific goal or function. The specific goal is here represented by a legal analysis on the multifaceted issue of apologies and how they impact on the various legal systems, and how their protection is achieved in some legal systems, and how their protection is achieved in some jurisdictions.
