Abstract
A literary criticism of the book "Archaeologies of the Future" by Herman Melville is presented. It explores the concept of anti-Utopianism within the book. It examines the metacommentary, which the dialectic to think its literary and theoretical subjects onto a higher, more complex plane of historical meaning.
